Sewer Line Services Provided

If you are having constant issues with drainage or are purchasing a new house, inspecting the sewer line with a video camera inspection from Mainline Plumbing can help identify the cause of the problem and provide a full video report on the current condition of the sewer lateral connection to the city sewer.

What Happens During a Sewer Camera Inspection?

We will access your sewer line via an accessible cleanout, roof vent, or by removing a bathroom toilet. A technician will feed a camera head into the sewer and record a video from the access point to the city sewer connection. This will provide us with a video recording of the current condition of your sewer line.

When experiencing a plumbing packup, snaking your sewer line will typically remove any blockages, roots, or obstructions are present inside your sewer line,

How Does a Sewer Line Snake Work?

Snaking a drain or sewer line involves using an auger machine feeding a line into a clogged drain with a blade at the end. The auger spins as the line is fed into the drain to remove the blockage.

For stoppages at multiple locations in the home, we usually suggest snaking the main sewer line, which can be accessed by a cleanout, roof vent, or by removing a bathroom toilet.

When multiple blockages, roots, or obstructions are present inside your sewer line, simply snaking the sewer may not clear the blockage for long. In these cases, Hydro Jetting the sewer line can significantly clear blockages inside your sewer line, cutting roots that may be entering your sewer at their source, providing the longest service life before needing to be serviced again.

How does Hydro Jetting Work?

Hydro Jetting is similar to snaking a drain, except there is no spinning blade. Instead, water is released at high pressure at the tip of the jet at a backwards angle, driving the Jetter into the pipe and cutting any roots or loose debris from the sewer pipe.

If your sewer line is found to be failing and in need of replacement, Trenchless sewer replacement may be an option you want to consider.

What is Trenchless Sewer Line Replacement?

Trenchless sewer line replacements involve installing a new sewer line in place of your old one by feeding the new sewer pipe through your existing sewer. It is much more cost effective when compared to open trench sewer replacement because it avoids much of the excavation work.

Considering a tankless water heater? We specialize in those too!

How does a Tankless Water Heater work?

A normal water heater operates by heating water inside a large tank shaped like a long cylinder. The process takes time when initially installing the water heater or if the water heater was shut off to begin with.

A tankless water heater (TWH) is just as it sounds; a water heater without a tank. Instead of heating water in a tank, a TWH runs water through a series of pipes that are heated with burners, instantly heating the water to the desired temperature! TWH are very efficient, as they only operate when hot water is in demand.
