What is sewer Video Inspection?

A sewer video inspection uses a specialized camera that is designed to navigate through the sewer pipes to investigate potential issues or causes for blockages or stoppages.

When using a sewer camera, the operator inserts the cable into the drain or pipe and records a video, typically from the city sewer back towards the camera access point. The cable sends back video information that the operator can see on a monitor, along with depth, length, and a number of other data points.

What is a sewer snake / auger?

A sewer snake, also known as a drain snake or plumbing snake, is a tool used in plumbing to clear clogs and blockages in drains, pipes, and sewer lines. It is designed to navigate through the pipes and break up or remove obstructions that hinder the flow of water or waste materials.

When using a sewer snake, the operator inserts the cable into the drain or pipe until it reaches the blockage. The cable is then rotated and pushed forward, allowing the auger or cutting head to break up the clog or entangle it for removal. As the cable rotates, it can scrape away accumulated debris, tree roots, grease, hair, or other materials that cause the blockage.

What is Hydro Jetting?

Hydro jetting is a process that uses high-pressure water to clean and clear blockages in plumbing and sewage systems. It involves using a specialized machine that generates water pressure of up to 4000 PSI (pounds per square inch) to remove stubborn clogs and debris from pipes and drains.

During hydro jetting, a flexible hose with a specialized nozzle is inserted into the affected drain or pipe. The high-pressure water stream is then directed through the nozzle, and the force of the water blasts away any obstructions, including tree roots, grease, mineral buildup, and other debris.

Removes the toughest blockages

Hydro jetting is a highly effective method for removing even the most stubborn clogs and blockages. It is often used by professional plumbers and sewer cleaning companies to clean out sewer lines, storm drains, and other plumbing systems. In addition to clearing blockages, hydro jetting can also help to prevent future clogs by thoroughly cleaning out the inside of pipes and drains.
